UF/IFAS Advancement Council
The UF/IFAS Advancement Council, formerly known as the SHARE Council, is a group of volunteers committed to UF/IFAS. Members assist the UF/IFAS Advancement Office by cultivating relationships that serve and strengthen Florida agriculture and natural resources. The Council is composed of 20-40 volunteers serving a three-year renewable term, representing diverse food, agricultural and natural resource interests across Florida.
UF/IFAS Advancement Council Goals
Advancement Council members promote fundraising and development for UF/IFAS in three primary ways:
Create Awareness > INFORM - EDUCATE - INSPIRE
We depend on Council members to inform and educate others about the UF/IFAS land-grant mission.
Build Relationships > INVOLVE - ENGAGE
Council members help to identify and cultivate relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations and legislators to help engage them with UF/IFAS.
Generate Support > ADVOCATE - INVEST
Council members assist in thanking donors and advocating for UF/IFAS fundraising needs.
