My journey to the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences began in sixth grade when I first went into an agriscience classroom. I had an agriculture teacher who saw potential in me and introduced me to the National FFA Organization, and this organization cultivated a passion for the agricultural industry within me.
I am proud to be in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences because it is literally the best college at UF. The faculty and advisors are very student centric. I walk the halls in my department building and I just about have to stop and talk to all the faculty. The students and faculty in my department have become my family.
When I was first accepted to the University of Florida, I wasn't sure what the difference was between CALS and CLAS (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) so I just declared a major I was interested in. My major happened to be within the College of Ag. and Life Sciences and this was when I started getting emails and I realized how many opportunities were available to me.
