History
IFAS Advancement was established by Dr. E.T. York as one of the first offices on UF’s campus dedicated to securing private support for university activities. In fact, IFAS Advancement predates the University of Florida Foundation. The original name for IFAS Advancement given by Dr. York was SHARE. The acronym SHARE stands for Special Help for Agricultural Research and Education. Today, IFAS Advancement is still widely known as the “SHARE Office” and we take pride in the success of our past.
